YP683 YP685 Two Component Hand-brush Polyurea Waterproof and Anticorrosive Coating

1. Introduction

YP683/YP685 is a solvent-free, two-component, hand-brush polyurea elastic material, which is made of semi-prepolymer, polyether polyamine, delayed diamine chain extender and other raw materials cured and molded on site. In the environment of -5℃, the handmade polyurea can still be cured quickly, and the coating film is dense without foaming. This product has excellent mechanical properties, media resistance, outdoor aging resistance, excellent adhesion.

2. Characteristics

• Room temperature curing. Surface drying in 12 hours, curing in 24 hours.
• Excellent physical and chemical properties, good adhesion to all kinds of substrates.
• Convenient construction, high efficiency, one-time construction can meet the design thickness requirements (Hundreds of microns to centimeters).

6. Storage and transportation

• This product should be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry warehouse. It is strictly prohibited to be exposed to rain and sun. Keep away from fire source.
• The shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture without opening the original packaging. Beyond the storage period can be tested according to the items specified in this product standard, if it meets the technical requirements can still be used. Please use as soon as possible after opening. Reseal and store when not in use.
• This product does not contain organic solvents and can be transported as non-hazardous goods. During transportation, it shall be strictly prohibited to be exposed to rain and sun, avoid violent collision, stacked safely and smoothly, and comply with the relevant regulations of the transportation department.​

7. Construction conditions

• Base surface requirements: The concrete base surface should be cleaned, repaired and polished to a certain roughness. Ensure that the concrete is handled, with a strength of C25 or above, and the moisture content of less than 8%. After handling the base surface, the next process should be carried out as soon as possible.
• Ambient temperature and humidity requirements: The construction site temperature should be higher than 5℃, and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
• Ventilation conditions: Ventilation should be maintained during construction.​

8. Coating method and requirement

• A:B = 1:1 (mass ratio), no diluents allowed.
• Before use, pour component B into the mixing bucket, add the same quality of component A according to the proportion of electronic weighing, and mix fully for 2-3 minutes to prevent uneven mixing at the bottom of the bucket, resulting in the phenomenon of partial non-curing of the floor. The prepared polyurea medium coating should be used up within 15 minutes.
• During construction, the first roll coating solvent-free epoxy anticorrosive sealing primer, until the primer is completely cured, in order to ensure interlayer adhesion, sanding treatment (Note: sanding dust must be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner). After sweeping and sanding dust, use solvent-free polyurea medium coating combination material to mix evenly according to the proportion. After that, pour this combination material on the floor, scrape it evenly with a trowel (3mm or 5mm bread knife can be used according to the thickness).
• Proceed to the next process after coating 24 hours. If the construction interval is more than 48 hours, it is necessary to apply an interface agent before construction. After coating if in bad weather such as rain, before the next process must be coated with an interface agent.
• Under normal circumstances, the paint film should be maintained for more than 7 days after the painting is completed to ensure the best performance of the paint film.​

9. Suggested Dosage

1.2kg/mm/㎡,waterproof national standard thickness is 1.5mm, dosage per square meter is 1.8kg. Anticorrosive national standard thickness is 2.0mm, dosage per square meter is 2.4kg.

10. Labor protection and safety

• Before use, you should carefully read the product instructions and warning labels on the packaging containers and be familiar with the construction methods and requirements.
• Open flames are prohibited at the construction site, and electric welding, smoking and other unspecified circumstances are prohibited. Construction must be done under well-ventilated conditions.
• This product is solvent-free environmentally friendly material, the user should keep actual records of the construction location, time, temperature, relative humidity, floor surface treatment, materials, etc. for future reference. Because of the difference in specific gravity of each component in the floor paint, all the paints in the barrel should be stirred well before proportioning.
• In order to prevent contamination of the construction edge and to maintain a completely straight line at the processing area (or the boundary with the uncoated part), the tape should be used, and the ingredients should be clean to avoid mixing of impurities and keep construction equipment and tools clean. Try not to arrange construction work at night in summer to avoid mosquitoes falling. It will affect the surface aesthetics of the coating film; do not pour the material into the sewer.
• The dried coating is non-toxic under normal construction conditions. Please feel free to use it.​
